Created for students in grades 6, 7, and 8, Mathematics in Context is a complete math curriculum for middle grades and consistent with NCTM Principles and Standards. The Key to Success component of Mathematics in Context is ideal for summer school programs, extended time, and exploration programs. With multiple strategies to suit any learning style, engaging and motivating topics, and research-based lessons, it increases students' conceptual understanding of math topics. Topics include Algebra, Data Analysis and Probability, Geometry and Measurement, and Number.
Easy for Teachers
Clear and concise plans for teachers will reduce planning time. All materials are provided within each lesson, so there is no need to make copies, and daily warm-up problems are ready for the overhead or SmartBoard. Two "extra" pages are included in each day's lesson, and are perforated for easy removal.
Includes Assessments
Easily scored multiple choice pre-tests and post-tests provide records for student accountability. Formative assessment items are clearly designated, which saves time during class and eliminates the need for formal assessments. Teachers can help students immediately!
